LONDON, UK - Situated in the heart of London's Soho, Z Hotel is a great place for a quick city break or a weekend shopping trip. As you probably know, accommodation in this part of London carries a really high price tag. Z Soho offers a refreshing change - comfort and style at a price much lower than nearby competitors.

Z Soho is all about LOCATION - Leicester Square, Tottenham Court Road and Piccadilly Circus stations are within short walking distance and the Palace Theatre is literally in front of the hotel. The trendy vintage shops and boutiques of Monmouth Street and the Seven Dials area (next to Covent Garden), high street shops at Oxford Street, and a huge range of individual boutiques at Carnaby Street, are just a couple of minutes away. You can find plenty of bars and restaurants as soon as you step out of the hotel - famous Ronnie Scott's being one of them.

Z Soho has also its own café located on the ground floor and overlooking Old Compton Street. You can enjoy a tasty continental breakfast in the morning, grab a sandwich in the afternoon or order a glass of champagne in the evening. What's really important, Z Café stays open 24 hours a day!

After a long day of shopping or sightseeing, you can eat or have a drink in the outdoor courtyard that offers a pleasant escape from the busy Soho streets. The hotel serves complimentary cheese and wine every day from 5 to 8pm.

Z Soho has a lot of character. The hotel is a conversion of twelve adjoining Georgian townhouses and has a very interesting architecture - a spiral staircase, aerial walkways of glass and steel, an outdoor courtyard and a compact rooftop terrace. Stylish design and high-quality features are the defining elements of the hotel.

The rooms are decorated and furnished in a modern urban style. Each of them features frosted glass bathroom unit with walk-in shower, an ultra-comfy bed, a working desk, and 40in LED high-definition TV with Sky Sports and Sky Movies. There is a full-length mirror, a hairdryer, Thierry Mugler toiletries, and tea & coffee facilities in each of Z Soho 85 bedrooms. Small space has been used to the maximum. The rooms are compact, but offer sleek modern interiors and are very functional.

The hotel offers free Wi-Fi and an iPod charger in each room. High quality bed mattresses are handmade in Devon. Fluffy feather pillows and luxurious 100% organic-wool duvet provide a healthy and comfortable sleep. What's really surprising, despite being located in the heart of Soho, the room is very quiet at night.

FASHION STUDIO: How would you describe the style and atmosphere of Z Hotel Soho?

BEV: Well, the atmosphere is friendly. We make a real effort to try to make it a friendly hotel. From every aspect. The staff are trained to be friendly. Plus we do different things to make people interact, to make people talk to each other. For example we offer cheese and wine every night. It's free of charge and it's for all guests. We do it for three hours.

The reason why we do that is because guests then sit and talk to other guests. And it's part of the thing, part of our thing, we want customers to leave thinking that it's a friendly hotel. And we create the environment, the ambience to allow them to talk to each other.

The style of the hotel is modern. I wouldn't say we've tried to make it particularly fashionable, we're just trying to make it very clean, very fresh, very modern. We haven't tried to be radically different with design. It's not offensive to people. It's subtle, nice, gentle.

FASHION STUDIO: What advantages have you got over other four-star hotels in London? What makes Z Soho different?

BEV: Our service is different. The way that we talk to customers. We are trying to make customers feel very relaxed and very at ease. The fact that we give away something for free (cheese and wine).

Also, within the room there is nothing that we will charge you extra for. So we put a bottle of water in every room, we give you Sky Sports, Sky Movies on the TV and they are all free. And Wi-Fi is free.

We are not trying to exploit you once you're here, we're not trying to make you buy other things. If you want breakfast, you pay for breakfast, if you want coffee, you pay for a coffee. But you are not obligated to. The room, the TV, the Wi-Fi, the bottle of water we put in the room is all included in the price. We don't like the 'hidden extras' mentality, that's not what we do.

FASHION STUDIO: How would you describe a typical guest staying at the hotel?

BEV: Most of our guests don't stay very long. We call ourselves the 'urbanite' hotel, which is the play on 'urban' (because of our location) and 'overnight'. If you are coming to London for one or two nights, then we are very suitable. If you want to spend two or three weeks in a hotel, we're not really for you. Our rooms are small, but they are comfortable. We've designed them really to be comfortable for a short stay. For a weekend, two or three nights – it's fine.

FASHION STUDIO: Thank you for your time!
