5th November 2011 - TOKYO – Thousands of shoppers in Tokyo joined Editors of Vogue from around the world on Saturday for a very special Fashion's Night Out event in a bid to boost spirits and sales following the earthquake and tsunami which devastated Japan earlier this year.

VOGUE FASHION'S NIGHT OUT - SYDNEY

Australian Vogue Fashion's Night Out took place on 8th September 2011 on the streets and shopping malls of Sydney CBD area. The event (running for the second year now) is organized to promote incoming summer fashion collections. Shops stay open till late in the evening and many of them organize fashion shows, live mannequins in shopfronts, interviews with designers, dj music shows, and lot of discount shopping.

A GLOBAL CELEBRATION OF FASHION

ABOUT FASHION’S NIGHT OUT: Fashion’s Night Out (FNO) is an unprecedented global initiative originally created in 2009 to celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, and boost the industry’s economy during the recession. On September 8, 2011, in response to overwhelming demand, Fashion’s Night Out will return to New York City and over 250 cities nationwide to highlight fashion and support retail with exciting events that include designer appearances, celebrity guests, fashion shows and musical performances. In the United States, the program is a collaboration between American Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company, and the City of New York.
