ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Chantel Beam, a San Francisco based photographer, picked up a camera at a very young age. Classical training in ballet help her develop a good eye. She is currently studying Cinema, and tries to make all of her pictures as if they were a still from a film. Her inspiration comes from the beauty of people; she often photographs her close friends. Chantel considers her photography not just as art, but also as documentation of where she was in her life at that time. Her goal is to bring something new to the art scene, make a strong statement, and shock people.
- Placed in 1st place (out of 10,000 applicants) for L.A. times photo contest in 2008
- Published Photography book entitled "The Juvenile Refraction" in 2008 at age 17
