MELBOURNE - Over 1,000 retail stores across four city blocks will take part in the Shop The City shopping festival in Melbourne on May 18.
Iconic Melbourne shopping destinations Emporium Melbourne, Melbourne’s GPO, Melbourne Central, QV Melbourne, The Strand Melbourne and the recently opened St Collins Lane, will join in the festival, providing events and exclusive discounts on a wide selection of local and international brands.
Luxury retail mall St Collins Lane will officially open on May 12 in time for the event.
The Strand Melbourne will offer a free fashion and beauty Q&A with some of Melbourne’s beauty, fashion and business influencers during the event.
200 Years of Australian Fashion exhibition at NGV
Hosted by celebrity make-up artist and stylist, Tre Dallas, guest speakers Annie Abbott, founder of Habbot shoes, and Bridget Culliney, founder of Brow Theory, will discuss fashion and beauty trends for Autumn/Winter 2016 in an intimate and live Q&A event.
According to a spokesperson, this year’s Shop The City event “is guaranteed to cement the Melbourne CBD’s reputation as Australia’s preeminent retail destination.”
