Picking out an outfit for a concert is like picking out a memory in advance. Going to see your favorite artist live will create memories to last a lifetime, and you want to wear an outfit that makes you feel great and look your best, so you can look back fondly on those memories in photos for years to come. Deciding on your outfit can be a little overwhelming, but with these trusty tips, you’ll be out the door in your dancing shoes in no time!

What’s the Vibe?

There are a few questions we need to ask now that you’ve decided you’re going to a concert. Who are you going to see? Is their aesthetic something that you already know how to emulate? Are you going with friends that you’re planning on matching outfits with?

Once you’ve answered these questions, you can start to create a framework of the outfit you want to create.

Pick a Color Scheme

Whether you’re basing your outfit on a color scheme or you’re wearing all colors of the rainbow, deciding what colors you’re wanting to wear will help you narrow your search for the perfect outfit pieces. Popular color schemes will often match the album cover artwork of your favorite album from your artists’ work, or perhaps mimicking a famous outfit they’ve worn onstage or on the red carpet.

If you’re traveling to a different area for your concert, make sure to check the predicted weather for the night of the concert so you can choose an outfit that will keep you safe and comfortable for the duration of the show. Adding a stylish coat to an outfit is never a bad idea if the weather looks like it might turn!

Go Shopping!

Nowadays, online shopping is almost more convenient than in-person shopping! Finding an online women’s clothing boutique that fits your style is paramount for putting together your dream outfit. Whether you’re looking for a relaxed matching linen set, or a silver corset top with matching pants, you’re sure to find something that matches your vision.

Make sure to pick out an appropriate pair of shoes to match your outfit, and to keep you in them for the entire night! If you know you’re gonna be dancing your heart out on the floor, maybe stay away from the stilettos for the night, and go with a pair of chunky boots or a lifted sneaker that can give you some more support so you can rock hard all night.

Add Accessories

The perfect concert outfit is never complete without the right accessories. Making a custom ring for yourself to commemorate and wear to your concert is a great way to make a sentimental and gorgeous piece to carry the memories of the night for years to come.

Of course, if you’re a DIY-er, this is the perfect time to get out your rhinestones and add bling to everything from your new favorite pants to that cowboy hat that’s been delegated to the back shelf of your closet for six years.

Put Your Outfit Together

Don’t leave trying on all the pieces of your outfit to the last minute! There’s nothing worse than pulling a new piece of clothing out of the box the day of an event and then realizing it doesn’t fit. Plan ahead and order your pieces with plenty of time to spare, just in case you need a different size.

If you’ve bought yourself a new pair of shoes for the concert, take them out for a spin for a couple of hours and make sure they don’t give you blisters or chafe you. Breaking them in a little bit will also make them a lot more comfortable to wear on the day of the concert.

Set Yourself Up For Fun

Your night should be perfect in more ways than one. Make sure you look up the venue rules and regulations, as well as the specific concert rules for the artist. A lot of venues require a bag to be smaller than certain dimensions for safety, and many of them now require your bag to be clear as well. Find something that will abide by all the rules and regulations, and make sure that you don’t have to make the walk of shame back to the car to leave your bag there before the concert even starts.
