TOKYO, JAPAN - Yesterday, Fashion Studio Magazine had a unique opportunity to visit Kamashima Chinami showroom in Shibuya where we were shown the Spring/Summer 2013 collection.

It actually makes a huge difference to see the designs in person and learn more about the fabrics, the designing process, and all other details. Special thank you to Mr. Mitsunobu Numata for his time and for interesting stories about the brand!

We will be publishing the article - with the collection review and exclusive pictures from the showroom -  shortly. In the meantime, have a look at the highlights of Kamishima Chinami Autumn/Winter 2012 collection here (because that's what you should be wearing this winter! ;)

Designer Profile

Kamishima Chinami graduated from Esmod Japon fashion college in Tokyo and started working in the fashion industry. A few years later, she left Japan and travelled all over the world, visiting many exotic countries that later influenced her collections. She launched her signature label in 1998. Her collection was first introduced at the S/S 2002 Tokyo Collection. Her concepts are highly inspired by nature. She has a colour-dying work shop in the studio. Most of the colour-dying for her collections is done by hand.

More coming soon!
