Mounted in Villa Les Rhumbs in Granville, where Christian Dior spent his childhood, the exhibition will attempt to show how this couturier's designs were partially linked to the Impressionist movement.
It will exhibit some of Christian Dior's creations and photographs of his garden, revealing the extent to which Dior was aware of the natural environment and the themes of light and reflections, just as the Impressionist painters had been.

Karl Lagerfeld is coming to Singapore! The famous designer will show Chanel’s cruise 2013/14 collection on The Loewen Cluster on Dempsey Hill, a world heritage site, on Thursday, 9 May. This marks the first time for Singapore where a leading fashion house has chosen to globally launch a collection, and strengthens its position as one of the leading fashion capitals of the World.

The spring 2013 exhibition organized by The Costume Institute of The Metropolitan Museum of Art will be PUNK: Chaos to Couture. The exhibition, on view from May 9 through August 14, 2013 (preceded on May 6 by The Costume Institute Benefit), will examine punk’s impact on high fashion from the movement’s birth in the 1970s through its continuing influence today.

The Fashion in Film Festival returns in May 2013 with its fourth edition. Marcel L’Herbier: Fabricating Dreams is a special season dedicated to one of France’s most innovative but internationally overlooked directors whose career straddled the avant-garde and mainstream cinema. A rare showcase of L’Herbier’s cinematic vision, the programme is the first UK presentation of some of his most significant films from the silent and early sound eras.

Singapore’s annual premier fashion event, Audi Fashion Festival Singapore, marks its 5th anniversary this year with a move to a bigger & grander location. Celebrating the festival’s anniversary milestone, the festival will be held at Marina Promenade with a new waterfront location against the backdrop of Singapore’s skyline & a bigger tent that targets to attract more than 20,000 visitors, up from 13,200 in 2012.
This year's highlights include fashion shows by Carolina Herrera, Tsumori Chisato, Ashley Isham, and Hussain Chalayan.

The event will be attended by industry and academia and will feature keynote speakers and presentations from both.
