If you’re looking to improve your style, and ooze a little more sophistication and coolness, then you’ve come to the right place. The following guide will explain what you need to take your understanding of style up a notch and have you feeling increasingly self-assured and confident in your new boost of style.

Improving your style can happen overnight if you’re willing to try something a little different, ready to rock the boat, and looking forward to getting your transformation underway.

Welcome in The Classic Pieces

Open up your arms to the world of tailoring and classic design that has stood the test of time for many years. Say hello to the stylish garments that have done their time and yet still return to take their place at the top of the “must-have” lists of icons and influencers all over the globe. If you don’t yet own a peacoat or a trench coat, then think about getting one to complete your look as soon as you can. Speed up the process by perusing the different fits and styles at Trench London, and get your style evolution underway.

Classic pieces also include a little black dress, a suit jacket, a flattering and well-fitted button-down white shirt, delicate strappy black sandals, a mean leather jacket, some statements sunglasses, jeans that fit you like a glove, and a blazer.

Shake Things Up

Don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone in the pursuit of improving your style. You will need to experiment with different clothes to get a feel for what you like, styles that get you noticed and receiving compliments and the ones that make you feel dressed to kill, so to speak.

Perform A Clear-Out

Bin the pieces that really aren’t doing you any favours, that are showing their age, or haven’t been worn for months and months. If some of the pieces are salvageable, then go ahead and donate them to charity but if they’ve seen better days, then try and recycle them. Either way, make sure that they’re out of your closet.

In order to make room for trendier clothing, ensure that you’ve made enough space by removing the old items. If you can’t quite make up your mind in regard to some pieces, then put them aside and endeavour to wear them throughout the coming week. If you don’t for whatever reason get enjoyment from wearing them, then they simply need to go.

Avoid Bulk

You will have heard it one thousand times before, but “less is more.” So, with this in mind, avoid over-styling or over-complicating a look. Remember that layering can look great as long as you do it well, and resist the temptation to overdo it, and wear all of your favourite pieces at once. Browse through Instagram and Pinterest to get inspired, and while you’re at it, cast your eye upon the glossy fashion mags that will aid you in staying up-to-date with all the latest trends emerging from all over the world.
