Pénelope Cruz is a Spanish actress born in Madrid. She started her acting career at age 15. Famous for her roles in Pedro Almodóvar movies, Pénelope achieved international recognition for her lead roles in Vanilla Sky and Blow. Pedro Almodovar describes Pénelope as his muse. She was the first Spanish actress in history to receive an Academy Award (Vicky Cristina Barcelona written and directed by Woody Allen) and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Pénelope modelled for Mango and Ralph Lauren and in 2006, she became a spokesmodel for the French beauty company L'Oréal and promoted their wide range of beauty products. In 2007, Pénelope and her sister Monica designed a second collection for Mango inspired by Brigitte Bardot and summer in St Tropez:

"It's been a really good collaboration because they're a great Spanish company and they give us a lot of creative freedom. My sister and I have a great time working on the designs." 

In 2010, Cruz was a guest editor for French Vogue, focusing on larger-sized models in a provocative photo shoot. In April 2010, she replaced Kate Winslet as the new face and ambassador of Lancôme's Trésor fragrance. The campaign was shot by the famed Mario Testino.
