TORONTO - Lucian Matis Spring/Summer 2013 collection, shown during World MasterCard Fashion Week, was full of bold patterns and bright colours. The designer took his inspiration from as far as Morocco and its colourful mosaics and tiles. Pencil skirts, fitted dresses and a lot of trendy peplum were the most characteristic elements of the collection.

“I love the job mainly because of its diversity. I love every element… there’s photography, makeup, hair, textiles, illustration. I create my own fabrics so there’s a lot of painting as well. It’s very exciting." - said Lucian Matis about being a fashion designer. - “It’s a very demanding job, and I don’t have a life outside of fashion… which doesn’t upset me because I love what I do."
