NEW YORK - If you are looking for something a little different for your next stay in Manhattan, the Library Hotel may be just what you need. This luxury 4 star property is conveniently located on Madison Avenue, just a few blocks away from Grand Central Terminal, Bryant Park, and unlimited shopping on Fifth Avenue.

Featuring a trendy rooftop terrace, an impressive collection of books, and lots of complimentary amenities (including super-fast Wi-Fi internet access), the Library Hotel is a perfect destination for both business and leisure traveler.

Fashion Studio Magazine spent one night at the hotel in the end of June 2015. We also visited Madison & Vine, the hotel’s American Bistro and International Wine Bar, and tried their exquisite dinner menu. Read about our experience below.

It is hard to decide what we liked most about the Library Hotel - everything from the friendly and unpretentious customer service to trendy room design was just great. We tried to narrow down the hotel's amenities to Top 5, but in fact the list of our favourite things should be much longer!

1. Unique Concept

The concept behind the Library Hotel is unique and inspiring. The hotel follows the Dewey Decimal System - there are 10 floors dedicated to one of the 10 major categories of the system: Social Sciences, Literature, Languages, History, Math & Science, General Knowledge, Technology, Philosophy, The Arts, and Religion.

Every room is decorated with carefully selected books and art pieces exploring a topic within the category it belongs to. The Library Hotel’s collection consists of over 6,000 books.

You can experience a different room theme every time you stay at the hotel... How exciting!

As one of the most exciting travel destinations in the world, New York has so much to offer... For your next stay in the city, we recommend visiting Whitney's new building designed by architect Renzo Piano and checking out FIT's latest exhibition: Global Fashion Capitals (running until 14 November 2015).

And if you get tired of all the shopping and sightseeing, but you don't want to stay in your room, there is an interesting option to consider:

2. Cozy Rooftop Terrace

An intimate rooftop bar and lounge is an excellent place to relax and unwind. You can enjoy Manhattan views from the hotel's fourteenth floor while sipping literary inspired cocktails.

Talking about cocktails... Madison & Vine located on the ground floor serves also amazing food. After visiting the restaurant for dinner, we have to say that both their salmon and chicken are to die for.

3. Delicious Food

Complimentary continental breakfast buffet served in the Reading Room and evening wine & cheese reception (including Prosecco, fine wines, imported and domestic cheeses, fresh bread, crackers, and crudités) are such a wonderful treat for the hotel guests!

4. Trendy Design

5. Excellent Location

"The Library Hotel is centrally located in Midtown Manhattan, within walking distance to many of New York City's top attractions, and around the corner from all forms of public transportation." - libraryhotelcollection.com

Located on fashionable Madison Avenue, just steps away from the famous Fifth Avenue, the hotel is in the middle of all the action. There are several shopping and dining options waiting just around the corner.

Between 34th Street and 59th Street, Fifth Avenue is one of the premier shopping streets in the world, often compared to the Champs-Élysées in Paris, Oxford Street in London, and the Ginza district in Tokyo. Lined with high-end fashion boutiques and department stores, Fifth Avenue is your destination for shops like Bergdorf Goodman, Saks Fifth Avenue, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Armani Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Gucci, and more.

You are within walking distance to major NYC attractions and close to several subway lines. It simply can't get any better than this!
