May 10, 2016 - Scentre Group, owner of Westfield Shopping Centres in Australia, has added Aussie designers Alice Mccall, Macgraw and Maticevski to its fashion sponsorship program.

The designers will join the sponsorship program’s alumni including, Dion Lee, Ellery, Bec & Bridge, Ginger & Smart, Romance Was Born and We Are Handsome.

“Scentre Group is proud to continue this strong campaign and to be working with such a high calibre of Australia’s design talent,” said Peter Leslie, director of leasing, Scentre Group. “Not only does the partnership show our commitment to supporting the Australian fashion industry, it also creates a platform for us to share the talents of these designers with our customers.”

Each brand will take part in an ‘experiential activation,’ allowing consumers to meet and connect with the designers. Alice McCall will host a collection release at Westfield Sydney. Macgraw will showcase their product in InHabit, Westfield Doncaster in the brand’s first bricks and mortar retail space and Toni Maticevski will offer his time to provide mentorship to the next generation of Australian designers.

The partnership was celebrated with an intimate lunch presentation at The Martin Browne Gallery, Paddington, earlier this week and was attended by Alice McCall, Beth & Tessa Macgraw, Toni Maticevski, Tanja Gacic, Peter Leslie and key Australian fashion and trade media.

The sponsorship program is in its third year.
