NEW YORK - The Marcus Lemonis Fashion Group, a collection of expanding fashion brands and retailers across the United States, is proud to announce the opening of MARCUS, a new shopping and retail experience, in the heart of New York City’s trendy Meatpacking District. MARCUS is a contemporary multi-label womenswear and lifestyle boutique with nearly 20 locations and counting in and around Aspen, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, New York and Palm Beach to name a few. The growing line of stores is owned by Marcus Lemonis, an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and star of CNBC’s hit reality series, The Profit, in which he lends his expertise to assist struggling small businesses around the country.

MARCUS is a luxe one-stop-shop with a curated balance of one-of-a-kind artwork, books, candles, chocolate, décor, gifts, and of course wardrobe essentials. The boutique offers both up-and-coming and best-selling designers including “cooler” brands such as Mother, DL 1961, Spiritual Gangster, Autumn Cashmere, Rebecca Taylor, The Kooples, Theory, Zadig + Voltaire, Halston, The Line, and many more.

“As a way to say thank you for supporting my retail businesses over the past few years, I wanted to give back with a new women’s shopping experience like no other. I’m proud to introduce you to my newest concept, MARCUS, a luxury fashion and lifestyle destination for women offering the latest styles, curated by me,” said Lemonis. “Based on the feedback and interest of our shoppers, I’ve filled the store with best-sellers they already love, while also introducing new brands and statement pieces they won’t be able to live without. Our store is here to help women feel their best in quality fashion from around the world and take charge of their lives. We’ve built a talented team of expert fashion stylists to offer customers top-tier shopping guidance and make them feel good every step of the way.”

Lemonis first began his fashion retail empire when Upper East Side family-owned business COURAGE b appeared on The Profit in 2014, before eventually expanding locations and ultimately rebranding. As Lemonis continued his fashion and retail development, he named COURAGE b’s own Stephanie Menkin as President of Marcus Lemonis Fashion Group. Together, Lemonis and Menkin partnered in fashion businesses like Inkkas Shoes, Printed Village, Flex Watches, and Susana Monaco in addition to contemporary retailers The Blues Jean Bar, Denim & Soul, Runway, Final Sale and UNION73.

The first MARCUS retail concept opened in Chicago in October of 2017, immediately followed by a decision to reimagine and rebrand all existing fashion retail concepts to become MARCUS.

“It’s been an immensely rewarding journey to expand our businesses around the country, but it’s especially fulfilling to bring this one back home to New York City,” said Menkin. “As a diehard New Yorker, I’ve been a lifelong retailer here, and couldn’t think of a better location or time to open our store as the Meatpacking District comes out of its industrial retail resurgence.”

MARCUS Meatpacking celebrated with a grand opening bash on Thursday, May 10th, which closed off a portion of W 13th St., carpeting the entire exterior sidewalk. The event included a custom art step & repeat created by JGoldcrown, branded food carts & trucks, gold-dusted heart-shaped bites, signature cocktails, a massive balloon art installation, and much more. Notable guests included host Marcus Lemonis & wife Bobbi Lemonis, Sports Illustrated 2018 Cover Girl Danielle Herrington, artist James Goldcrown, DJ Stiletto model/humanitarian Mari Malek, NFL athlete & model Dale Moss, and models Patricia Van Der Vliet & Broderick Hunter to name a few. A camera crew was also on-site filming for Lemonis’ Critics’ Choice-nominated hit show The Profit, which returns to CNBC for another season on Tuesday, June 12th.

The new MARCUS store is located at 402 W. 13th St. between 9th Ave. and Washington St.
