Fashion is a fun hobby that allows you to express your creativity while also boosting your self-esteem.

One thing that fashionistas love doing is dressing up and traveling. But there is always that dreaded luggage weight limit. This prevents many fashion-forward people from fully kitting themselves out during a trip.

If this is a frequent issue for you, look no further. Here are seven fashionable ways to pack for your next trip so you can travel in style.

Pre-planning is key

You can't bring random outfits that you know look good on you willy-nilly when you're traveling. After all, it might look good in photos, but it might be impractical when you're out and about.

Thus, you have to make sure that you pre-plan the clothes you're going to wear for the activities you plan on doing on your trip.

Also, even if you don't plan on doing anything fancy on your trip, try and pack at least one elegant outfit that you can put on, just in case. You never know how plans might change.

Another good tip would be to pre-plan your clothes to have clothes that look good with one another. If you're staying for a long time and plan to mix and match clothes, you won't have to worry about whether they look good on one another.

Stick to neutral colors

You can't go wrong with sticking to neutral or monochrome colors for your look. They're simple, chic, and look good on anyone.

You would look effortlessly elegant when you stick to neutral colors for your wardrobe. At the same time, you'll have no problem mixing and matching wardrobe pieces with one another.

Another benefit of sticking to neutral colors is that you can match with your luggage when you take photos with it.

Luckily, plenty of luggage brands stick to monochrome and neutral colors with their luggage. So it would help if you didn't have any trouble matching with your luggage in a way that works.

Don't overpack shoes

Your footwear is going to take up a lot of space in your luggage.

Thus, it would help if you were careful not to bring too many shoes with you on your trip. Otherwise, you might go over the weight limit allotted to you.

At most, you should carry no more than three shoes, no matter how long your trip may be.

It would be best if you had a comfortable pair of shoes you can do for sporty activities. It's also ideal to have footwear that you can use for casual trips or for lounging around.

Last but not least, you should have footwear that you can use for more formal events and activities.

Pack accessories

You don't need to have your entire closet with you to change the way you look. Sometimes, all you need is that right accessory to change up how your outfit appears.

Instead of driving attention to your clothes, you can wear statement pieces to serve as the center of attention for your outfit.

You can use your socks, your earrings, your necklace, your rings, bracelets, watches, and many more. You can even use your bags as an outfit accessory if you want.

The great thing about accessories is that they are easy to pack and don't take up so much space in your luggage.

Carry a scarf

A scarf is one fashion accessory that is versatile and stylish if you know how to work with it. You can use it as an accessory. You can use it for your hair or keep you warm.

Some people even manage to make an entire piece of clothing out of strategic knots and ties on their scarves.

The great thing about a scarf is that it's lightweight, and it adds a pop of elegance straight away. If you're wearing a monochrome outfit, you can use your scarves to add color to your outfit.

Dress in layers on the plane

The biggest issue of fashionable people when traveling is the limit on the luggage's weight. Thus, if you want to have the ability to bring as many clothes as possible without going over the limit, you should dress in layers when you're on the plane.

You should wear your bulkiest jacket. Wear as many layers as possible without compromising your mobility. You should also wear your jewelry when you travel and use the heaviest footwear that you have when headed to the airport.

Planes are air-conditioned and cold anyway, so you shouldn't have to worry about suffering from heatstroke when on the plane.

Travel size your beauty products

If you're bringing your favorite beauty products with you, make sure that you transfer them to a travel-sized container.

Some brands even provide travel-sized versions of their products. So look those up if you can. It will be a shame if the airport employees ask you to throw away or leave behind your beauty products.

Fashion and travel, for some people, go hand-in-hand. With the ways listed in this article, you won't have to compromise your fashion sense for the sake of your love for travel. Next time you plan on going on a trip, try out these packing hacks and enjoy yourself.
