These are the words that have inspired Fred Sly since the beginning of his artistic journey. Fred Sly is a freelance photographer based in the New York City/New Jersey metropolitan area. He specializes in fashion, commercial and event photography. Creative, ambitious, professional, and with his own vision of the world, Fred is as an emerging talent in the world of fashion and entertainment.
Fred’s images have appeared in many national publications. He has covered numerous events from New York Fashion Week to red carpet movie premieres. Celebrities gracing his website include the biggest Hollywood names: Woody Allen, Al Pacino, Sarah Jessica Parker, Robert De Niro, Uma Thurman, and Mariah Carey - to name just a few.
Photography is definitely his passion and he is pursuing it with great fervor, taking his craft seriously and always looking for new opportunities to expand his creativity. Having a clear artistic vision, he tries to capture a person's true self. His philosophy is that an image should never be static, posed or forced. In his own words: "Life is never scripted. Neither should photography."
He describes his style of photography as a blend between photojournalistic and editorial. His skill in capturing the essence of his subjects reflects his goal to capture beauty, personality and emotion in a way that is creative and unique.
