for Beyoncé's Sportswear Label Ivy Park!

Is there anything Queen Bey can't do? The multi-platinum singer / songwriter / actress / businesswoman is now expanding her empire into activewear too.

Ivy Park, her new athleisure brand for women, is a joint venture and standalone brand she created with Sir Philip Green, the chairman of the Arcadia Group, a retail giant that includes Topshop, Topman, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, and more. Its range of sportswear already has numerous retailers on board, and will be available online and in stores like Topshop, Nordstrom, Net-A-Porter, ZALORA, Selfridges, The Iconic.


On why she decided to create her label, she said, "When I'm working and rehearsing I live in my workout clothes, but I didn't feel there was an athletic brand that spoke to me. My goals with Ivy Park is to push the boundaries of athletic wear and to support and inspire women who understand that beauty is more than your physical appearance."

Beyoncé's exercise regime is a triple threat one that works on the key components of strength, agility, and cardio.


1. Strength: Circuit Training

For her upper body, she does a mix of body-weight movements and weight lifting, including bench presses, planks, push-ups, bicycle and straight-leg crunches, reverse dips and V-ups. Her arm exercises typically consist of dumbbell curls and machine tricep extensions.

For her lower body, she does lots of lunges and squats - often up to 100 reps in one set - to get those killer legs.

2. Agility: Yoga

Once a week, Beyoncé relies on yoga to keep her body - especially her core, important to a singer - toned and to stay limber.


3. Cardio: Running

For five days a week, Beyoncé jogs for 15 to 30 minutes a day as part of her warm-up routine to prep for her workout. Plus, she practices choreography every single day for nine hours each time. Pick a workout you love that gets you sweating so that you'll stick to it without finding it a chore!

Beyoncé believes in being both mentally and physically strong in order to achieve her fitness goals. "True beauty is in the health of our minds, hearts, and bodies. I know that when I feel physically strong, I am mentally strong and I wanted to create a brand that makes other women feel the same way," she said regarding the philosophy of Ivy Park.

So feed your body and soul well with six small meals a day loaded with green leafy vegetables and steer clear of refined foods. Beyoncé is also a vegan, so if you can give up meat and poultry, be sure to replace these with other proteins like tofu.
