LIMA, PERU - Renowned Peruvian fashion photographer, Mario Testino, will unveil his second exhibition ‘ALTA MODA’ at his Lima-based non-profit organisation MATE in April. ALTA MODA is a striking collection of 27 unpublished photographs, taken between 2007 and 2011 in Cusco, Calca, Chumbivilcas, Espinar, and Paucartambo, highlighting traditional costumes of the Cusco region.
"I’m Peruvian. Though people may think I’m Brazilian, Italian or English, I am from here and I want my work to be Peruvian and for people to come to Lima to see it."

As part of the exhibition, there will be also a display of five dresses from Christian Dior haute couture collection (Autumn/Winter 2005) which was inspired by traditional Peruvian fashion.
