STYLING TIPS
By Amanda Martinez

So it's that time of the season again. Winter is finally here and you know what that means. The hats, the scarfs, the coat, the sweater, the mask ugh, don't you ever ask yourself: how can you look fashionable when it is really cold out and you need to bundle up?

Here's an idea. Throw on a thermal v-neck long sleeve shirt with a tank underneath, along with a long cottony scarf. Then, throw on a pair of denim (ones with a couple of rips) and some tights, tights that will bring out your outer-wear. Do not forget the cardigan! A fashionista's must!! Finally add the coat with a warm wool hat for the ladies. As for the men, try out the wool Mohawk looking hat.

Want me to get really specific? Here's an example of an outfit that I created and loved! I titled this idea, "Cozy, yet fashionable and cute." Try it out! Pick out your favorite stores graphic colorful lettered sweater. Underneath that sweater put on a tank top or t-shirt that brings out a shade of one of the colors of a letter on the sweater. Wear a pair of denim that has only a couple of rips and underneath that pair of denim wear leggings that bring out the color of the sweater. I would suggest a pair of Uggs or Emu's for footwear. Lastly, the finishing touch would be the cozy winter hat shown above. My gosh, I just love that hat and it's totally in style. There, now your all cozy and fashionable.

Did you fashionista's ever have that one shirt, pair of jeans, or shoes that you felt just went with everything? or that you felt was...PERFECT!?! Well, if you haven't then you will now. It's amazing. It's denim, but with a denim and legging feel. Yeah I know, incredible right? I belive that the jeggings are perfect for a fashionista. You can wear the jeggings and still look amazing with a cardigan, or a buttoned down, or an off the shoulder belly top, or a dressy silk blouse, especially if you are going for a trendy modern look. Want to grab a pair, go to American Eagle and you would find tons of them. So I hope that styling idea number two inspired you.

Skinny jeans, a vintage shirt and a cardigan. Nah, lets scratch that. How about a flowy off the shoulder top with a pair of skinnies for the ladies and a cardigan and some relaxed jeans for the man. Why? Styling idea number 3: Don't look tight all over and the other way around; don't look baggy all over. This is similar to how I feel about accessories. It is great to accessorize, but not to over do it.

So here comes styling idea number 4. When a fashionista like yourself wears a simple tee or a plain colored tube top make sure you accessorize in order to bring the outfit out. In this situation it would be great to add a necklace, a bracelet or more, and some earrings to go with that simple tee so that although the t-shirt is simple, your outfit won't be. What is the turn out!?! Fashionable!! Now if we are talking about wearing a dress that has floral patterns, buttons, and strings to tie around the waist then lets not add too much, maybe something like some small earrings and a simple thin chain. Less is more!

Do you like to party? What about a date in a few days? Matter of fact, don't you hate it when you need to go to the bathroom to reapply makeup like every hour. Well, here's something that I use and strongly recommend to you fashionista's out there because for most of us make up is part of our outfit! Bare Minerals is makeup, yet it leaves you with a natural, healthy, clean look because this makeup actually helps to perfect your skin. Now that I've tried it, I couldn't be any happier. You ladies should try styling idea number 5! and can get a hold of Bare Minerals at Sephora.

Hope that I was helpful to you fashionistas and to wrap it up here's my last styling idea. Explore fashion and that means daring to try new things because fashion doesn't define you. You define it.
